Alternatives Incorporated is an active member of the Region 8 Continuum of Care which seeks to end homelessness in our community. The Continuum of Care brings together housing providers throughout the five-county region to address homelessness and connect community members to housing opportunities. To do this, we utilize the coordinated entry system.
What is coordinated entry?
Coordinated entry is meant to improve the efforts of the Continuum of Care to house persons experiencing homelessness, which includes survivors of domestic or dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking. The primary goal of coordinated entry is to make sure wherever a person enters the homeless system, they are given fair and equal access to resources and services offered by the homeless system and in ways that are culturally competent and person centered.
How do I access coordinated entry?
Please visit SafePathHome.org to find an access site in your area. An assessment will be completed based on the outcome of the assessment; you will be placed on the regional prioritization list for housing.
