When you or your business donates a minimum of $100, you are eligible to take a tax credit on your Indiana state tax return for that year. The tax credit is taken directly on the return for one-half of the amount donated. As an added incentive, you may be able to take a deduction on your federal income tax return. Through Shelter Alliance, nonprofit organizations raise funds through the collection & recycling of used cell phones, and businesses & consumers donate & recycle cell phones to benefit nonprofit participants.
